Hello Flatforms!

They've been on the tootsies of many a model all over the Spring/Summer catwalks - yes, I'm talking about the flatform!

They really are a fabulous creation, mixing the height of a platform with the comfort of flats. Personally I think they are hot, and oh so wearable. A few weeks ago I purchased my own pair of summery flatform sneakers from Wellington shoe boutique I Love Paris. They're a bright pair that make a statement and are so deliciously comfortable, I swear it feels like I'm walkig on a cloud. Check them out below!

(One day I'll invest in a good camera - for now, enjoy my excellent quality mobile shots).

Get yourself a pair of flatforms in some shape or form to rock this summer!

Kate Moss weds Jamie Hince

Although it was a wee while ago now, I've finally got around to posting about this spectacular wedding. These beautiful images are by Mario Testino and they absolutely blow me away. When I get married one day, this is the kind of wedding I'd love to have. The gypsy, vintage, garden feel is so enchanting, and I adore Kate's dress by her close friend designer John Galliano.

make love, not war

I think if I had been born in a different decade, I would have been a hippy.

Flower power is everywhere and it fills me with such joy. Although not an entirely original way to say 'springtime' it is beautiful all the same.

Freedom, peace and love, man.

Salasai AW 12 - Exclusive Vid From RUSSH Magazine

I loved Salasai's NZ Fashion Week show this year in the beautiful St Matthew's Church in Auckland. Striking black lined eyes and big lashes stood out from a nude face and made for an edgy, captivating look.

Check out a few images below, but first watch this exclusive RUSSH Magazine film from the show by my friend Claire Littler and Ralph Matthews here. Definately worth watching!

FQ Gender Studies

I really love this editorial in the Spring 2011 issue of NZ Fashion Quarterly. The styling is beautiful, but my favourite part is the hair! I'm thinking about getting my hair dyed in this way - kind of a different and less intense take on the ombre look. What do you think?
