In 2 weeks time I will be leaving my beloved city of Auckland to embark on new adventures down in windy Wellington.

Making the big move to a new city is an exciting and scary prospect, but the hardest part is going to be moving away from my friends.

So this post goes out to my beautiful and amazing friends; you know who you are. I love every moment I spend with you, whether we're doing something crazy and hilarious or just simply hanging out. I will miss you very, very much, but remember what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder! I'll be back before you know it.

Kissable lips

I don't know about you, but I can't hardly believe it's already February! Valentines day is just around the corner, so what better time to perfect your pout with some very kissable red lips.

Luscious red lips are thought to be one of the hardest beauty looks to achieve, but with a couple of keys you'll be sporting the sensual shade in no time.

First off, it's imporatant to prep your lips before applying lippy. A good way to do this is to buff them gently with a damp facecloth, or to exfoliate your lips while doing the rest of your face. Next make sure your lips are hydrated by applying a clear, moisturising lip balm and allowing it to settle in, then blot off any excess.

Using a lip liner is key to a good red lip as it adds colour pigment and helps with staying power. Choose a lip liner which is the same shade as your lipstick, or one shade lighter. Draw the liner carefully around the outer lip line but don't stop there, fill in the lips with the liner as well, and then blot with a tissue.

Now it's time to apply your lipstick! Use either a lip brush or the bullet, and make sure you are careful to keep within the lines. Blot again, and apply more colour if you want more intensity. Hello hot red pout!
