I have something to admit...I am literally OBSESSED with polka dots!

Recently, while shopping with a friend in Newmarket, we realised we each gravitate towards certain items (even if we have too many of them in our wardrobes already!) For me, it's polka dots and shorts. I simply can't seem to get enough! So (clearly) these images of polka dot shorts are a dream for me, which is probably why I've posted a few images of basically the exact same shorts, just styled differently!

Call me crazy, but I'm sure there's a print or item you can think of which would be your version of polka dot shorts. Comment and let me know!

Red heads may have a bit of a bad rep - known for being firey and stubborn, often called "gingas" or "rangas" - but I think red hair is stunning!

Whether it's a natural auburn or a striking fire red, I say if you've got it, flaunt it! (Or even if you got it from a bottle, flaunt it anyway).

So many great outfits! Blair Waldorf is a style queen. I'd be one happy girl if I could get my hands on just one item from her wardrobe.

I'm a bit depressed at the moment because Gossip Girl is on a 6 week break in the U.S (and I usually keep up to date with the latest episodes from season 4 online) so I felt like it was time for a GG fix. If you haven't been keeping up to date with season 4, boy has there been some scandal going down! I can't wait for the next ep.

I like to think of my blog as my wee baby, and (as babies do) it has gone through some changes.

As 'All Things Lovely' has been maturing and I've been finding my style, I've been thinking that there's a small change that needed to be made. So with no further ado, I introduce to you:

With the name change comes a dash of spunk and a sprinkle of attitude, along with the usual dusting of lovliness!

i heart being a girl

Today I had high tea at a beautiful wee place called Martha's Kitchen in Wellington city. It was ever so lovely, and reminded me why I love being a girl...

As girls we can be sugar and spice and all things nice. We can wear pretty dresses and play with makeup. We can have tea parties and bake cupcakes. We can smell like spring and wear flowers in our hair. We can wear high heels and lacey knickers. We can paint our nails and buy too many shoes. We are feminine and flirty and fun.

Embrace your girly-ness! It's a blessing <3
