Kitty Purry

Katy Perry's California Dreams tour brought her to NZ for the first time last week and I was lucky enough to see her twice: at Vector Arena in Auckland and Wellington's TSB Arena. And what a show it was! Team Perry thought of everything, even down to a candy-floss scent which wafted through the arena before Katy came on stage.

The show really was a girly girls fantasy, from the giant candy-land set, copius amounts of sparkles and glitter and a cutesy story running throughout to boot. Of course, Katy's costumes were super fun and fabulous too.

Katy is an amazing performer; she interacted with the crowd and proved herself in my books with great live vocals. Doing all her hits like Teenage Dream, Firework and California Gurls, she had everyone dancing the night away.

New Zealand act Zowie was a fun and funky opener too; kudos to my friend Andy who plays guitar in her band.
